Benjamin Stachio is an AI-generated character who became an overnight internet celebrity at the end of September 2026. He looks almost like a regular guy out for the evening, white shirt, yellow trousers, a big friendly grin, until you notice the details: three mustaches stacked on his upper lip, a neck and shoulders roughly twice the size his head should allow, and a face that subtly shifts shape while he moves.

His breakout clip, captioned 'Dancing with friends', shows Benjamin boogying through a crowded bar and singing along to warped, unintelligible lyrics while the people around him drift about in ways that are not quite human. Posted to an Instagram account whose bio simply reads 'Hello Darling', it collected more than 640,000 likes and tens of thousands of comments within days, passed a million views when it was reposted elsewhere, and pushed the account past 60,000 followers. Half the comments asked whether he was real. AI detectors, and anyone who looked twice, agreed he was not.

Benjamin belongs to a growing wave of deliberately off-proportion AI personas that turn visual weirdness into a recognisable brand. In a slop game he is practically pre-built: a dancing power-up who struts across the screen, a bonus target that multiplies your score the longer he grooves, or a judge who nods his triple mustache at every combo.
